We would like to be notified 24 hours in advance if your child needs to miss their appointment.
We are aware that this is not always possible and we make allowances when appropriate.
However, if last minute cancellations become a repetitive problem, we may not be able to schedule future appointments.
We’re serving more than 500 young people a year, but we could do so much more.
It’s difficult to measure Concord Youth Theatre’s impact on the children who participate in our programs.
We could talk about our alumni who are making waves as actors, writers and creators on Broadway, Off-Broadway, on our TVs and on the Big Screen.
We could talk about all the teachers, directors, and choreographers we’ve educated who are now bringing their passion for the arts to children’s programs all over the country.
We could talk about the adults in all walks of life who are using the talents and confidence they developed here to change the world.
What we most love to talk about is the hundreds of children who currently call Concord Youth Theatre a second home, a place where they thrive not just creatively, but socially, emotionally, and intellectually. It’s not only where I discovered my passion, but it’s where I made lifelong friends and learned so many valuable tools that I use to this day. – Chris Evans, Actor But want we want to talk about right now is how many more children we could serve.
In spite of the fact that we have increased the number of programs we offer by more than 60% over the past five years and doubled the number of children in our community, we still regularly turn away talented youth due purely to the fact that we don’t have the capacity to accommodate them.
This fall alone, we double-cast our Mainstage production to allow an extra 25 children to participate and still had to turn away 20 performers.
At Concord Youth Theatre, we aim to enrich the lives of as many people young people as possible by providing opportunities for them to be actively involved in the creative process.
